Electricity tower blown up in Mardan
PESHAWAR: Unidentified men blew up an electricity tower near Shergarh area of Mardan district late on Wednesday, sources said, disrupting power supply to several areas.
The tower on the 132-KV Mardan-Dargai Chakdara Transmission Line was blown up, disrupting power supply to Chakdara, Swat, Khawaza Khela, Madain, Taimergara, Dargai, Bajur and Daggar grid stations.
PESCO Chief Executive Muhammad Qasim Khan ordered the restoration of power supply to the affected areas through alternative sources. PESCO has requested for public cooperation until the repair work is completed. app
